Jota Selecta: Concrete Jungle
Explicit

Jota Selecta: Bollywood Funk

Bad boys & spinning sarees, moustache & love stories, funky beats mixed with indian groove, that's 70's Bollywood show !
The best killer soundtracks were composed by the Shah brothers (Kalyanji & Anandji), Rahul Dev Burman (& his son Sachin) or Ilaiyaraaja, all great composers who ruled over the indian score for decades, while the females voices were mainly interpreted by Lata Mangeshkar & her younger sister Asha Bhosle. If all that seems to be nothing but a family affair, it's just because of the casts system (musician is a cast, too!).
As a starter for this twisted selection, the american Bill 'Ravi' Harris serves an unexpected & hindustani cover of Manu Dibango's Soul Makossa.
I hope you like your funk raw & spicy!
